Track inspection completion and non-conformance closure
Quality assurance that catches issues before they cost you
Independent quality oversight on construction sites across Australia. We verify what gets built matches what was specified, before defects become handover problems.

Quality delivered
Quality assurance that respects how construction actually happens and how defects actually get prevented.
Risk-fit inspections
Records aligned
Handover ready
Quality assurance
with an owner's mindset
We do quality assurance the way owners actually need it done. Independent of the builder, structured around real risk, and documented so the asset transfers cleanly into operation.
Independent of the builder
Our role is to protect the owner's interest. Reporting goes to the owner, findings are unfiltered, and inspections aren't shaped by builder convenience.
Risk-based inspection planning
Inspection and test plans built around the real failure modes and concealment risks of the project, not generic checklist templates.
Records the operator can use
Quality records, test results, and certifications structured so the operator and asset manager can actually use them post-handover.
From mobilisation through to handover complete
Quality assurance moves through inspection planning, ongoing surveillance, non-conformance management, defect resolution, and handover documentation. We stay on site across construction so the asset that handovers is the asset that was specified.
Enquire nowA clear quality assurance process
Four stages we run on every quality assurance engagement.
Inspection planning and ITP development
Develop inspection and test plans based on specification, drawings, risk, and the construction sequence the builder is actually following.
Surveillance and verification on site
Conduct inspections at hold and witness points, witness testing, sample materials, and verify workmanship against specification.
Non-conformance and defect management
Raise non-conformance reports, track corrective action through to closure, and verify defects are resolved before practical completion.
Handover documentation and records
Compile quality records, test certificates, as-built data, and handover documentation so the owner inherits a complete, traceable asset record.
Got questions? Let's clear them up
What does RECOR's construction quality assurance service cover?
Independent on-site inspections, inspection and test plan development, surveillance and witness testing, non-conformance management, defect tracking, and quality records documentation from mobilisation through to handover.
How is your quality assurance different from the builder's own quality system?
We work for the owner, not the builder. Our inspections, reporting, and records are independent of contractor commercial pressures. We verify what's built matches what was specified, not what was convenient to build.
Do you work alongside the builder's quality team?
Yes. We coordinate with the contractor's quality staff to align inspection schedules, share hold and witness points, and avoid duplication. We provide an independent verification layer, not a replacement for the builder's own ITP system.
What standards and codes do you work to?
Project specifications, contract requirements, Australian Standards relevant to each trade (AS 3600, AS 4100, AS/NZS 3500, AS/NZS 3000, and others), AS/NZS ISO 9001 quality principles, and authority requirements where applicable.
When should QA be brought onto a project?
Ideally during procurement, so we can review ITPs and quality requirements before construction starts. We can also engage after mobilisation, but earlier involvement lets us shape inspection scope around the real construction sequence and risks.
